Philosophers

This page contains links and resources to eight important philosophers. Any list of philosophers is bound to be somewhat arbitrary. These ones were chosen for at least one of two reasons:

  • They are important to the history of philosophy, or
  • They are accessible and easy for beginners to grasp

The stoic philosophers are not particularly important to the history of philosophy, however they are accessible for beginners. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Kant can be quite difficult, but he is so important that I felt obligated to include him. This page contains links that give a broad overview of each philosopher.
